The dictatorship of art! - No dictator knows its secrets. But suggestions can be found here: Fire and water, gallons of bubble bath, a huge pentagram-like wooden construction and pulsating music samples create a wonderful new world. Why crack hard nuts? It's enough to break their resistance. Burning chairs instead of fiery speeches, retreat from excessive demands instead of bloody tribunals, healing mud instead of promises of salvation. Delusions of grandeur, exalted movements, and the attempt to appease the new gods of the virtual world with pure, unprotected sensuality.

AKHE - Engineering Theatre
AKHE was founded in 1989 by three young members of Boris Ponizovski's theatre "Yes - No". They declared themselves an independent art group (in terms of styles and forms) and began to work in the fields of performance, cinema, and visual arts. From 1996 AKHE developed into a theatre collective with a base of six members. As cult icons of the Moscow and St. Petersburg independent art scene, the group is in demand at progressive festivals in Europe and around the world. AKHE creates a unique dream theatre of chaos and symbols. Absurd events, a game with physical laws and psychological tricks, combined with fascinating stage designs. In the summer of 2022, AKHE theatre emigrated from Russia due to the political situation and in rejection of the war in Ukraine. It continues its theatrical activities in France.
